- Understand the impact of anti-LGBTQ+ bullying on children and young people
- Understand the impact that multiple forms of discrimination (for example ableism and racism in addition to anti-LGBTQ+ discrimination) can have on a child or young person
- Know the legal and inspection requirements in relation to tackling anti-LGBTQ+ bullying
- Understand your role in challenging anti-LGBTQ+ language and bullying
- Know how to address anti-LGBTQ+ language and bullying
- Know how to overcome challenges to tackling anti-LGBTQ+ language and bullying
- Have a plan to improve your setting’s approach anti-LGBTQ+ language and bullying
About the course
This CPD accredited course will provide you with the knowledge, tools and confidence to identify, prevent and tackle anti-LGBTQ+ language and bullying as part of a whole-setting approach. The content you see is tailored to your nation and setting type. Which version of the course do I need?
If you work in a school, college or education setting, choose 'School or college or education setting' from the dropdown list. If you work with children and/or young people in another context, choose 'Children and young people's services'.
Choose the nation in which you are based from the dropdown list. If you are not based in England, Scotland, or Wales, choose England.
How long is the course?
This training package is full of essential information, practical advice, and interactive activities. Complete your course at your own pace and in your own time, it'll take around 4 hours in total.
Payment and access
If you pay by card or PayPal you will have instant access. If you are buying places for your colleagues, you can grant and manage their access in the Stonewall Learning platform.
